DJ Calc

We are almost done with November (and we are almost done with 2025) and I am looking forward to a couple of calm days here. For the whole month of December I am only going to play songs from 2025 and I will play as many bands as I can over that stretch. Tonight is my last ‘normal’ playlist night for a little while and I have been thinking about switching up some things anyway soon. I have been pretty committed to a spotlight artist each week for some time now and on concentrating my new tunes into distinct sets. I may blow that structure up in the new year, have not decided for sure yet.

Tonight’s set features a band with ties to the school where I work, they are called Title Fight. In addition to playing three of their songs I am also playing a new song by a new project that one of the band members is involved in, a band called Glitterer. I am also happy to play a song by a former roommate of mine from my Gainesville days. Pat Hughes is the singer in Wired Up and I am playing a new tune of theirs tonight.

Last week over on twitter I got engaged in a fun conversation about songs with references to Ophelie (thanks to Marc Fagel for this convo) and I open and close tonight’s show with songs called Ophelia or songs that make some reference to Ophelia.
