I am excited about a number of things on this week’s show. My son is n a band called Not Really ( https://open.spotify.com/artist/6DvZunKMscqO1ZFmmmXVc9?si=y7a2xwxeQKOIiQqlkGdgAw ) and they just released a 4 song EP this week. I included one of the songs in my opening set tonight. A band that I have loved for a long long time is The Mommyheads. Years ago Adam Elk from the band visited me at the radio station and told stories and played songs ( https://soundcloud.com/user-726909013/wrkc-interview-with-adam-from-the-mommyheads-nov-12-2019 ) His band had been prolific recently releasing a handful of terrific records in this decade and they have a brand new release called No Quietus. The Mommyheads are my featured band this week. I recently listened to another great episode of Andrew Hickey’s podcast A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs ( https://500songs.com/ ) The most recent one I listened to was about Creedence Clearwater Revival. For my covers set tonight I put together three covers performed by CCR. I also included a Warren Zevon song in honor of his recent induction into the rock and roll hall of fame.
